Hotel Momento is in 2010 opgericht als een hotel met 45 kamers, restaurant en bar in het hart van de historische oude stad aan de Basilica Cisterne toen Istanbul werd geselecteerd als Culturele Hoofdstad van Europa. Het hotel ligt op loopafstand van historische en culturele centra zoals het Topkapi-paleis, het Ayasofya Museum, de Sultanahmet-moskee, het Islamic Art of Museum en de Grand Bazaar.
