For those on the hunt for a true African experience, look no further than Thokozela. While the frills are not a necessity, we believe that comfort is. At Thokozela Resorts & Lodges, our lodges, bush camps and tourism facilities are aimed at safari seekers looking to immerse themselves in the African culture. We believe that for you to truly enjoy South Africa’s cultural and natural diversity, you need to live it as Africans do. Our rustic accommodations, such as our Butjani Tented Lodge, Elephant Rock Private Safari Lodge, Shangana Cultural Village and Eagle Rock Executive Guest House, allow guests to shed the stresses of their daily lives and get back to basics in their natural surroundings. The wholesome cuisine served from our kitchens is inspired by African mothers who have been cooking over open fire for generations. The word Thokozela means to ‘rejoice’ in the Zulu language and, as a leader in the South African tourism industry, this feels good ethos is what Thokozela Resorts & Lodges stands for.
