Genesteld in de poort naar het Lake District en aan de rand van het nationale park ligt de Gilpin Bridge Inn. De naam van de herberg is overgenomen van Richard de Gylpin, een Normandische ridder die hier woonde na gevechten tijdens de kruistochten. De Gilpin heeft een grote parkeerplaats met een speeltuin voor kinderen en een zithoek in de buurt. De herberg heeft elf comfortabele kamers die allemaal een eigen badkamer hebben. De Gilpin heeft een grote feestzaal die ideaal is voor zakelijke bijeenkomsten, bruiloften en speciale gelegenheden. Er is een centrale bar, een grote lounge en eetkamer met een aparte speelruimte. Als aanvulling op het populaire menu is er een goed assortiment bieren en wijnen op vat beschikbaar.
