De Cricket Inn bevindt zich in Beesands, Kingsbridge, Zuid-Devon. De herberg opende voor het eerst zijn deuren in 1867 en ligt in het kleine vissersdorpje Beesands, genesteld op het idyllische platteland van South Hams, op slechts enkele meters van het glooiende strand en het kristalheldere water van Start Bay. De herberg is met de voltooiing in mei 2010 op sympathieke wijze uitgebreid met ruimte voor een nieuw restaurant en vier nieuwe verhuurkamers (in totaal zeven), waardoor we de flexibiliteit hebben om kleine tot middelgrote feesten te verzorgen voor privédiners, verjaardagen, informele bruiloften, jubilea of dat speciale weekendje weg met een groep vrienden of familie. Het nieuwe Pavilion-restaurant is ideaal voor privédiners of vele soorten evenementen, verjaardagen, jubilea, bruiloften, enz. Met zitplaatsen voor maximaal 46 personen of meer voor een buffet voor grotere gezelschappen tot 150 personen kan de hele herberg beschikbaar worden gesteld.

Once upon a time in 2016, Matt Levy, founder of Covert Cocktail Club, hosted a secret speakeasy as an intimate place for strangers to gather in his home. The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era. Liberated from the confines of a single location, Covert Cocktail Club now brings the speakeasy right to your door—be it at your home, office, bar mitzvah, dinner party, bachelor/ette party or anywhere you choose!
