The Deep is sinds 2002 geopend en is actief als een liefdadigheidsinstelling voor onderwijs en natuurbehoud en is de laatste jaren een internationale speler geworden op het gebied van het behoud van de zee. Door partnerschappen aan te gaan met belangrijke bestuursorganen, natuurbeschermingsorganisaties en andere gerenommeerde dierentuinen en aquaria werken we eraan om een impact te hebben op de bescherming van onze oceanen.
Het is een van de meest spectaculaire aquaria ter wereld, ligt in Hull, East Yorkshire en biedt onderdak aan 5.000 dieren, waaronder prachtige haaien en roggen. Het indrukwekkende gebouw, dat uitkijkt over de monding van de Humber, werd ontworpen door architecten van wereldklasse, Sir Terry Farrell en Partners in, toen, een van de meest achtergestelde en ouderwetse steden in Engeland. The Deep is nu het commercieel meest succesvolle Millenium-project.
In het eerste jaar verwelkomde The Deep meer dan 850.000 bezoekers, waardoor het nieuwe aquarium van Hull drukker was dan de London Zoo. Dit vroege succes financierde in 2005 een uitbreiding van £5 miljoen, waaronder extra expositieruimte, winkels, horeca en onderwijsruimtes.
Als onderdeel van de vernieuwing van Hull is The Deep een internationaal erkende mijlpaal geworden en zelfs op een Royal Mail-postzegel verschenen! Het gebouw maakt gebruik van het landschap waarop het is gebouwd en werd geïnspireerd door natuurlijke geologische landformaties. Glanzend glas en aluminium duwden het dramatische landschap binnen aan de samenvloeiing van de twee rivieren en markeerden de historische toegang tot Kingston upon Hull met een gloednieuwe toekomst

Over the past fifteen (15) years, we’ve grown from one (1) Thriller vessel to the current operation of three (3) Thriller Vessels, and one (1) Thriller Miami Hurricane that were built for Miami’s character, charm, and local culture.
Open 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
First tour departs at 11:00 am during the week, and 10:00 am during the weekend and holidays. Last tour depends on the sunset, which varies by season.

Yes, Hilton is committed to reducing waste across our portfolio. All of our hotels were required to remove plastic straws, stir sticks and cocktail picks in 2019, and we are currently transitioning from individual bath toiletries to full-size dispensers.
