Penrhos is uniek - in welke zin van het woord dan ook. Voor het eerst gebouwd in 1280 toen Edward I, koning van Engeland, de heuvel afdaalde, voorbij Penrhos, en Kington wegnam van de Welsh. Penrhos heeft op de een of andere manier, bij toeval, meer dan zevenhonderd jaar overleefd als boerderij op de grens van Herefordshire en Wales. Het biedt zijn gasten 15 elegant ontworpen, comfortabele en goed ingerichte kamers. Nu, na 40 jaar werken, repareren en herbouwen, is het uitgegroeid tot de mooiste verzameling gebouwen die je maar kunt vinden. Het hoofdgebouw bestaat uit drie periodes, de grote middeleeuwse Cruck-zaal met stenen vlagvloeren en een hoekhoek, een kruisvleugel uit de 15e eeuw en een Elizabethaans huis. Het huis kijkt uit op een binnenplaats met een vijver in het midden die bruist en bloeit van het leven. Het biedt zijn gasten 15 elegant ontworpen, comfortabele en goed ingerichte kamers. Daarnaast zijn er een aantal pakketten beschikbaar voor speciale evenementen, vergaderingen, retraites, zakelijke en zakelijke bijeenkomsten.
