De Hongaarse Staatsopera (Hongaars: Magyar Állami Operaház) is een neorenaissancistisch operagebouw in het centrum van Pest (een deel van Boedapest), in het 6e district (Terézváros) aan Andrássy út 22. Ontworpen door Miklós Ybl, een belangrijke figuur in de Hongaarse architectuur uit de 19e eeuw, duurde de bouw van 1875 tot 1884 en werd gefinancierd door de stad Boedapest en door keizer Franz Joseph van Oostenrijk-Hongarije. Het Hongaarse Koninklijke Operahuis (zoals het toen bekend was) werd op 27 september 1884 voor het publiek geopend.
