Het Rose & Crown hotel is een van de oudste hotels van Yorkshire en kijkt uit over het dorp Bainbridge, in het hart van het prachtige Wensleydale. Honderden jaren geleden was Wensleydale een dicht bos en Bainbridge was een veilige haven voor de boswachters die het bewerkten. Deze herinnering gaat verder met een boshoorn, gelegen in de ontvangsthal, die werd geblazen om de boswachters veilig naar huis te geleiden. Het hotel heeft nu drie bars, waarvan één met een grote open haard, een prachtig restaurant met uitzicht op het dorpsplein en elf slaapkamers met eigen badkamer voor accommodatie. U kunt dineren in het restaurant of in de lounge en gezellige bar; er is een open haard met een laaiend vuur in de winter. Mensen kunnen buiten lunchen in de zomerzon. De uitzichten zijn prachtig, in sommige richtingen panoramisch. De Dales Room biedt plaats aan maximaal 80 personen en is perfect voor die speciale gelegenheid; huwelijksrecepties, verjaardagen en familiebijeenkomsten. Open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. First tour departs at 11:00 am during the week, and 10:00 am during the weekend and holidays. Last tour depends on the sunset, which varies by season.
