The Bloomsbury ligt op slechts een paar minuten van het British Museum, Theatreland, Soho en de boetieks en markten van Covent Garden. Het ligt in het hart van het historische en levendige 18e-eeuwse Bloomsbury, het literaire hart van Londen en de thuisbasis van verschillende galeries, antiquarische boekhandels en een eclectische selectie van cafés, traditionele pubs en eetgelegenheden. Het hotel is gevestigd in een neo-Georgisch gebouw dat op de werelderfgoedlijst van klasse II staat, ontworpen in de jaren 1930 door Sir Edwin Lutyens, de grootste Britse architect van zijn tijd. Tot de kenmerkende architectonische kenmerken van het hotel behoren een prachtige stenen ingang, een prachtige dubbelhoge lobby en eigenzinnig smeedwerk ontworpen door Lutyens.
