UTEC, opgericht in 1999 en gevestigd in Lowell, was het resultaat van een door jongeren aangestuurde organisatiebeweging om een eigen tienercentrum te ontwikkelen als reactie op bendegeweld. Vandaag de dag, nationaal erkend als een voorbeeldbureau voor jeugdontwikkeling, is het onze missie en belofte om de ambitie van Lowell's meest losbandige jongeren aan te wakkeren en te koesteren om geweld en armoede in te ruilen voor sociaal en economisch succes. Door de verhuur van faciliteiten kan UTEC haar missie en programmering voortzetten en uitbreiden. Een medewerker van UTEC of jongeren uit het programma geeft graag een introductie over de organisatie en/of het groene gebouw als onderdeel van uw evenementenplannen.
