De geschiedenis van The Guildhall Cottage gaat terug tot de Stuart-periode. De hoofdkamer met zijn gebogen plafond en wapenschild was ooit de plaatselijke rechtbank en het hoofdgedeelte van het gebouw, inclusief de burgemeesterszaal, werd in 1887 gebouwd op de plaats van de lock-up van de stad.
