Nanaimo is a city on the East Coast of Vancouver Island, located on the traditional territories of Snuneymuxw Nation and peoples. We acknowledge their ancestral connection to this land and honour these relationships through continued work and collaboration. There are amazing opportunities to connect with the land and stories of these lands throughout the city, and certainly when visiting Saysutshun Island. Nanaimo is place where we encourage you to come as you are, and be prepared to be surprised by what the city has to offer.
