Het Frye Art Museum, gelegen op de First Hill in Seattle, opende voor het eerst zijn deuren in 1952 als nalatenschap van Charles en Emma Frye, prominente bedrijfsleiders en kunstverzamelaars uit het begin van de twintigste eeuw in Seattle. Sinds die tijd zijn er voortdurend werken te zien uit de Frye Founding Collection van Europese schilderijen uit het einde van de negentiende en het begin van de twintigste eeuw. Het museum organiseert ook opmerkelijke tentoonstellingen van werken van internationaal bekende en opkomende kunstenaars, evenals uitgebreide openbare programma's.
