SCEDU is een sociale onderneming die in 1995 is opgericht om bestaande en nieuwe sociale ondernemingen te ondersteunen. Tegenwoordig biedt de Sheffield Community Enterprise Development Unit een veelvoud aan diensten voor sociale ondernemingen, waaronder betaalbare beheerde werkplekken en conferentiefaciliteiten. De locatie bevindt zich in een omgebouwd technisch gebouw dat speciaal is ontworpen om een rustige en constructieve sfeer op te roepen. SCEDU beschikt over 28 werkeenheden, 4 vergaderzalen en conferentieruimtes die regelmatig worden verhuurd. De conferentieruimtes hebben natuurlijk daglicht dat wordt bevorderd door de hoge plafonds en de ligging aan de rivier. Het doel is om de beste alternatieve ruimte voor feestevenementen in Sheffield te bieden, waar u eenvoudig de kamer kunt boeken en zelf de gasten kunt verzorgen. Als alternatief kunt u het organiseren aan hen overlaten. Het evenemententeam van SCEDU staat altijd klaar om van uw speciale gelegenheid een fantastisch en plezierig evenement te maken voor zowel u als uw gasten.
