Over ons

Sanyo-so ligt aan de rustige berghelling van Izu Nagaoka, dat sinds het Kamakura-tijdperk floreert als badplaats voor warmwaterbronnen. Op het uitgestrekte en natuurrijke stuk grond kunnen bezoekers genieten van de natuurlijke schoonheid van de vier seizoenen in de tuin vol elegante watervallen en beekjes. De 10 hoofdgebouwen worden al lang gekoesterd door prominente figuren als een gebouw dat zowel Japanse ryokans (herbergen) vertegenwoordigt als gebouwen die pronken met de vaardigheden van vele beroemde architecten en ontwerpers. De namen van de kamers zijn afkomstig van de traditionele Japanse uitvoeringen van „Noh”. Elke kamer heeft een unieke uitstraling, wat tot uiting komt in de details van de alkoofpalen van elke kamer, de horizontale stukken hout die zijn gebruikt in het raamwerk van het gebouw, de liggers, bovenlichten en andere onderdelen. Sanyo-so biedt gekruide Japanse gerechten met lokale ingrediënten zoals groenten uit Shuzenji en Amagi en zeevruchten uit Suruga Bay en Sagami Bay. Alle ingrediënten zijn streng geselecteerd om het beste uit elk seizoen te halen.
