AC Hotel Split is een gloednieuw hotel op tien minuten lopen van het bruisende stadscentrum en het Paleis van Diocletianus. Het hotel biedt ruime 214 kamers en vijf conferentieruimtes. Het biedt ook een spectaculair uitzicht op de Adriatische zee vanaf onze 28e verdieping. Het Paleis van Diocletianus is de beroemdste culturele en toeristische attractie van Split, Kroatië. Hoewel het paleis wordt genoemd, lijkt het meer op een groot fort omringd door muren en torens. Het werd in de 4e eeuw gebouwd door de Romeinse keizer Diocletianus die een fort wilde bouwen om zijn pensioengerechtigde leeftijd door te brengen. Marjan, de heuvel die uitkijkt over de stad, is altijd het meest indrukwekkende deel van de beelden van Split geweest. Zo'n harmonie tussen natuurlijk en stedelijk wordt zelden gevonden; aan de ene kant de dichtbevolkte stad in al haar glorie en aan de andere kant een schiereiland met bijna ongerepte natuur. De heilige heuvel, zoals ze vaak wordt genoemd, herbergt vele monumenten van heilige en seculiere architectuur die zo met deze groene oase zijn gecombineerd dat ze zelfs bij een voorbijganger een gevoel of ontzag en bewondering opwekken.

Het nationale park Krka ligt in de provincie Šibenik-Knin en beslaat een totale oppervlakte van 109 km² van de mooiste delen van de rivier Krka en de benedenloop van de rivier Čikola. Het nationale park is een uitgestrekt en voornamelijk onveranderd gebied van uitzonderlijke natuurlijke waarde, waaronder een of meer bewaarde of onbeduidend veranderde ecosystemen. Het doel van het park is in de eerste plaats ten dienste van wetenschap, cultuur, onderwijs en recreatie, terwijl er ook toeristische activiteiten zijn geïntroduceerd voor de bezoekers. Met inbegrip van het verzonken deel van de rivier aan de monding is de rivier Krka 72,5 km lang en daarmee de 22e langste rivier van Kroatië. Het ontspringt in de uitlopers van het Dinara-gebergte, 2,5 km ten noordoosten van Knin. Met zijn zeven watervallen en een totale hoogtedaling van 242 m is de Krka een natuurlijk en karstfenomeen. De travertijnwatervallen van de rivier Krka zijn het fundamentele fenomeen van deze rivier.
