De ijsachtige vorm van het gebouw werd al in de eerste fase van de werkzaamheden uitgeroepen tot het nieuwe icoon van de stad, en het internetportaal bryla.pl erkende het als een van de meest interessante investeringen in het land. Het project won ook de eerste prijs in de prestigieuze Eurobuild Awards 2014 als architectonisch ontwerp van het jaar. De architecten hebben hun best gedaan om rekening te houden met de context van het project. Het gebouw onderscheidt zich van zijn omgeving door zijn gedurfde lijnen en lichtheid, maar vormt ook een samenhangend geheel met de neogotische gebouwen eromheen. Het interieur van de Philharmonic verbergt meer dan 12.000 vierkante meter ruimte verdeeld over vier verdiepingen, waaronder een symfonische zaal, een kamerzaal, repetitieruimtes, muziekwinkel, café, ruime foyer, kleedkamers voor artiesten, opslagruimten voor instrumenten en kantoren. De symfonische zaal, ook bekend als de Sun Hall, biedt plaats aan bijna 1000 mensen. De prachtige akoestiek van de Sun Hall is afkomstig van de speciale geometrie van de muren en het plafond, ontwikkeld door de architecten samen met Dr. Higini Arau, een specialist in architecturale akoestiek uit Barcelona. Alle parameters van de symfonische zaal (sterkte, uniformiteit van geluid, vertraging en laterale energiefracties) produceren een effect dat vergelijkbaar is met het model van dergelijke ondernemingen — de concertzaal Musikverein in Wenen. In de kamerzaal — ontworpen voor 192 personen — komt de nagalmtijd tot op de honderdste van een seconde overeen met het project. Daarom staat deze zaal bekend als de „akoestische parel”. Elke dag kan de witte gevel van het Philharmonisch Orkest oplichten in honderden kleuren in verschillende composities. De feestelijke opening van de nieuwe zaal vond plaats bij de opening van het artistieke seizoen 2014/2015.
