Over ons

Hotel Anton, het pand dat nu het hotel is, is ontstaan door de reconstructie van historische gebouwen van de voormalige coöperatieve distilleerderij Lihovar. De geschiedenis van het pand gaat terug tot de 16e eeuw, waar de eerste schriftelijke verwijzingen naar de reeds bestaande productie van gedistilleerde dranken, gefermenteerd uit aardappelen, te vinden zijn. Schriftelijke documenten uit 1877 spreken van de distilleerderij als onderdeel van het landgoed Telč, waarvan de eigenaar Leopold IV was (van het huis van Podstatzky-Lichtenstein). Na verloop van tijd veranderde het eigendom en na de nationalisatie in 1945 werd het pand onderdeel van een organisatie voor de productie van gedistilleerde dranken van aardappelen. In 1969 was er een distilleerderij opgericht, voornamelijk voor de productie van slivovitz en brandewijn op basis van lokale producten.
