Het Polin Museum is gewijd aan het vertellen van de geschiedenis van Poolse Joden, gelegen in wat ooit het hart van Joods Warschau was. Dit gebied werd later tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog door de nazi's omgevormd tot een getto. Tegenwoordig bevindt het museum zich in het centrum van een belangrijke locatie in de Poolse hoofdstad, vlakbij het Monument to the Ghetto Heroes. Deze vormen allemaal een ander hoofdstuk in het verhaal van de Poolse Joden, waardoor een gedenkwaardige, transformerende en tot nadenken stemmende ervaring wordt gecreëerd.

Het oorspronkelijke gebouw van Zamek Krolewski, zoals het plaatselijk bekend is, dateert uit de 16e eeuw. Maar zoals een groot deel van Warschau werd het tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog verwoest. Het werd herbouwd en gereconstrueerd en om zijn toekomst veilig te stellen werd het aangewezen als UNESCO-werelderfgoed. Historisch gezien was het Koninklijk Kasteel de formele residentie van de Poolse monarchie en dit prachtige kasteel was de afgunst van een groot deel van Europa. Toen Polen onafhankelijk werd, werd het de officiële residentie van de president. Tegenwoordig is het Koninklijk Kasteel een nationaal museum dat open is voor het publiek.

De oude binnenstad van Warschau is het meest historische deel van de stad, gelegen aan de prachtige oevers van de rivier de Vistula. De oude stad in Warschau dateert al uit de 13e eeuw. Tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog werd het volledig verwoest, waarbij alleen puin achterbleef. De oude binnenstad werd herbouwd en veel gebouwen zijn in hun oude glorie hersteld of waar mogelijk gerepliceerd. In 1980 werd de oude stad in Warschau uitgeroepen tot UNESCO-werelderfgoed, waardoor deze beschermd werd voor de toekomst.

Het Paleis van Cultuur en Wetenschap is niet alleen een populaire toeristische attractie, maar ook een van de dominante kenmerken en monumenten van de skyline van Warschau. Het is nog steeds het hoogste gebouw in Polen en een van de hoogste in Europa, met een hoogte van 231 meter. Gemodelleerd naar gebouwen zoals het Empire State Building, werd dit cultuurpaleis in Warschau gebouwd in opdracht van Joseph Stalin. Verbazingwekkend genoeg werd het in slechts drie jaar gebouwd en werd voltooid in 1955. Hoewel iconisch, is het paleis controversieel voor veel lokale bewoners en een herinnering aan de Sovjetoverheersing. Ondanks de naam is het gebouw eigenlijk geen wetenschapscentrum, maar het is nog steeds een bezoek waard.
