Ruby Marie was ooit de trendsetter en begon zijn leven als het eerste warenhuis van Oostenrijk. Elegante vloeren met alles van haute couture en huishoudartikelen tot een restaurant en een uitkijkterras vol met de chicste van de stad en ze leek klaar voor een luxe leven. Decennialang bloeide de winkel als een van de beste winkelplekken van Wenen en had zelfs een tijdje een bioscoop. Helaas zag Marie's toekomst er rond de eeuwwisseling, toen warenhuizen in verval raakten, onzeker uit. Een echte pionier verliest echter nooit haar vonk. In 2015 maakte Marie op 104-jarige leeftijd een passende stijlvolle comeback. Van luxe lampen en pluche banken tot vintage posters en kleermakersgereedschap, de 24-uurs bar herinnert aan de weelde en energie van haar hoogtijdagen uit de jaren 60, terwijl het moderne menu bestaat uit een gezond ontbijt en barista-koffie, eclectische cocktails en smakelijke snacks. De kamers van Marie weerspiegelen allemaal onze Lean Luxury-stijl, met een groot, comfortabel bed, een regendouche en zachte, zachte handdoeken. Warm kersenhout contrasteert met stoere kunstwerken, terwijl een Marshall-versterker klaar staat voor je soundtrack.
