Het Ban Jelačić-plein is het centrale plein van de stad Zagreb, Kroatië, genoemd naar Ban Josip Jelačić. De officiële naam is Trg bana Jelačića. Het plein wordt in de volksmond Jelačić plac genoemd. De kathedraal van Zagreb, aan de Kaptol, is een rooms-katholieke instelling en niet alleen het hoogste gebouw in Kroatië, maar ook het meest monumentale sacrale gebouw in gotische stijl ten zuidoosten van de Alpen. De kathedraal is typisch gotisch, net als de sacristie, die van grote architectonische waarde is. De prominente torenspitsen worden beschouwd als monumenten omdat ze vanuit de meeste delen van de stad zichtbaar zijn. Een van de twee torens werd beschadigd tijdens een aardbeving op 22 maart 2020.

Het Meštrović-paviljoen, ook bekend als de thuisbasis van Kroatische kunstenaars en in de volksmond džamija genoemd, Kroatisch voor „moskee”, is een culturele locatie en de officiële zetel van de Kroatische Vereniging van Kunstenaars (HDLU) op het Plein van de Slachtoffers van het Fascisme (Trg žrtava fašizma) in het centrum van Zagreb, Kroatië. Ontworpen door Ivan Meštrović en gebouwd in 1938, heeft het tijdens zijn leven verschillende functies vervuld. Het was vóór de Tweede Wereldoorlog een kunstgalerie en werd onder de Onafhankelijke Staat Kroatië omgebouwd tot een moskee en vervolgens omgevormd tot het Museum van de Revolutie in het naoorlogse Joegoslavië. In 1990 werd het teruggegeven aan de Kroatische Vereniging van Kunstenaars. Na een grondige renovatie doet het sinds 2006 dienst als ruimte voor tentoonstellingen en evenementen.
