The Grand Hotel Italia is located in the historic centre of Orvieto, next to the suggestive “Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo”, now Convention centre, to the Cathedral and to the most important monuments of the medieval city. The hotel has been restructured in 2004 maintaining the antique elegance and the modern comfort, the large and lighted rooms, in total 46. We have a Convention Room “Sala Corsica” for a max of 50 places, a Convention Room “Sala Serancia” for a max of 30 places and Conference hall, for a max of 80 places.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
