About us
Geschichte des Hotels: Das Santa Fe Terminal Building #4, heute bekannt als Aloft Hotel, war Teil des Santa Fe Terminalkomplexes, der 1923-25 erbaut wurde und als das damals größte Bauprojekt des Landes galt. Die massiven Ausgrabungen umfassten ein unterirdisches Netz von Eisenbahntunneln unter den vier Gebäuden, das den Güterumschlag und die Lagerung der Santa Fe Railway zentralisierte. Es wurde so viel Beton verwendet, dass vor Ort inmitten der Baugrube eine Betonmischanlage errichtet wurde. Zu dieser Zeit dominierten die Eisenbahnen und dieses Projekt trug dazu bei, Dallas als wichtiges Geschäftszentrum für den Südwesten zu etablieren. Das neue Aloft Hotel mit 193 Zimmern wurde schnell zum Aushängeschild der Starwood-Marke Aloft, die als Schwester der Marke W Hotels gegründet wurde. Es ist das bisher einzige Aloft, bei dem es sich um eine historische Sanierung und nicht um einen Neubau handelt. Das alte recycelte Lagerhaus passt perfekt zum Loft-Thema und den hippen und ausgefallenen Oberflächen, die von der Marke verwendet werden. Insbesondere dieses Hotel erfreut sich einer besonderen Anziehungskraft, die namhafte Gäste anzieht, darunter Brittney Spears, Jamie Foxx, Dolph Lundgren, Eva Longoria, Willie Mays, LeBron James, Magic Johnson, die Darsteller von Wicked, 101 Dalmatiner und viele andere.
