We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels.
When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. How many corporate offices have a dedicated event planner? Not many. How many corporate employees get thrown the task of event planning without having any experience? Too many.
When Lee Rubin, our Co-Founder and CEO, was randomly tasked with planning her team’s event, she asked herself, “Is there an easier way to create meaningful events that are simple to plan—especially for remote teams?”
Zoom forward, she and Eyal Hakim (Co-Founder & CTO) had an answer.
Together, they built Confetti: a platform for virtual team building experiences designed specifically for remote and hybrid companies. The two saw eye-to-eye on their goal to give people who don’t want to waste hours planning corporate events a quick, painless way to organize complex virtual experiences – ones that genuinely bring distributed teams closer and improve work culture.
