Le pont à deux étages Dom Luis I est une icône de la ville de Porto. Il enjambe le fleuve Douro et relie les maisons de vin de Porto de Vila Nova de Gaia au quartier animé de Ribeira, dans le centre-ville de Porto. La construction a eu lieu entre 1881 et 1886 et le pont a été construit à côté d'un pont existant qu'il a remplacé. Les piliers de granit du pont d'origine sont toujours en place et se dressent sur la Ribeira comme une paire de poteaux de portail.
