With stunning views over the River Ribble and with the Lake District on its doorstep, 4 Star Macdonald Tickled Trout Hotel near Preston is a delightful retreat that offers excellent conference and business facilities. Two minutes from J31 of the M6, within easy driving distance of Manchester, Liverpool and Lancaster, and just five minutes from Preston station, our newly refurbished venue merges rural charm with all the business extras you need. OUR FACILITIES Ten well-equipped function rooms, naturally lit and with space for 100 delegates in a self-contained conference centre, easily adapted to suit your needs For larger events, our delightful River Suites overlook the Ribble and offer various configurations and sizes. Seven boardrooms for 50 to six people, are stylish and tranquil, while our Syndicate Rooms deliver comfortable space for smaller groups. Free and unlimited WiFi throughout – with the option of adding extra bandwith – and rooms bathed in natural light means your event goes smoothly. Free on-site parking is available. When the working day is done, our new Scottish Steakhouse and Riverside Bar and Lounge offer space to refuel and network while appreciating the river views. With many traditional features, such as wood beams and open plan lounge, the warm ambience continues to the 98 bedrooms, each delightfully styled and with ample workspace. The stunning Lake District is on the doorstep, offering exceptional opportunities to stage your team-building session or corporate away day, whether that’s on the lakes, climbing, walking or something more high adrenalin.
