The Bear Inn and Hotel in Alderwasley, Belper is set in an idyllic part of the Derbyshire countryside and offers fantastic accommodation, food, drink and an excellent atmosphere. The Inn, which dates back to 1528 is bursting with character and The Bear’s staff will always make you feel welcome and at home. The Bear Inn and Hotel is the ideal setting for any event, from birthdays and christenings to corporate events and parties. Our Green room offers a spacious area for dining and dancing and also has its own bar which can be exclusively used for your function. We also have the facility to host car shows in our large car park as well as larger functions in a marquee which we connect to our Green room for exclusive access to our largest function room and bar. For more intimate functions, you may choose to use our Bear room which seats up to 10 people. This room is perfect for family gatherings and corporate lunches and is kept away from the hustle and bustle of our lively pub, giving you a unobtrusive dining experience. We believe your wedding day should be memorable and an occasion to look back on for years to come and we pride ourselves on our flexibility and excellent service to make your special day perfect. We can tailor packages to suit your exact needs and our in-house chefs can cater to your tastes to give your wedding day a more personal feel and make it really unique. For larger weddings, we can provide a marquee suitable for the amount of guests you require, including chairs, tables and linen. You will also get exclusivity of the ceremony room and your own bar so that you can keep your day completely separate. The Bear Inn and Hotel boasts 8 luxurious bedrooms, all with ensuite facilities to help make your stay with us a relaxing one. All of our rooms are individually decorated adding a real character to all of our rooms.
