Set in the heart of the Weald of Kent, in the beautiful Garden of England, The George Hotel offers you the most exceptional of experiences, combining history, indulgence and outstanding service. Whatever the occasion, we are here to make it as memorable as possible. Our function areas are fully equipped to accommodate weddings, birthday celebrations or important business meetings, all in historic and comfortable surroundings. The dining room and the Cranbrook Bar are both available for functions. The Restaurant can comfortably seat a party of 40, with the bar accommodating around 25 people. If you are entertaining a small group of around 6-8 people then we house the Montgomery Room for a more private dining experience. Choose from eight period, or four contemporary rooms, each one individually finished to reflect The George’s impeccable heritage. Each room has its own unique colour scheme designed to accentuate the many distinctive pieces of furniture and art. Filled with warmth and character, our period rooms retain many of their classic original features, for example The Crimson Room, where Queen Elizabeth stayed during her visit in 1573, is a favourite amongst guests looking for a romantic setting with rich décor.
