The Norfolk Waterside Marriott is a premier Norfolk meetings and events hotel featuring 397 newly renovated guest rooms and 8 suites situated on the picturesque Elizabeth River in the heart of Norfolk's historic district. The hotel is conveniently connected to the Waterside Convention Center and provides meeting planners with 60,000 square feet of meeting space – including three stunning ballrooms – plus a sixth-floor Riverview Terrace. There are a total of 26 meeting rooms with a maximum of 36 breakout rooms. The largest meeting room is the elegant Norfolk Ballroom with 14,400 square feet of space and maximum capacity of 2,400. All of the guest rooms and suites at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott have been renovated and feature luxurious bedding and amenities, as well as the latest technology. Plus, the hotel has two on-site, distinctive dining options, the Lobby Bar and STEAM, featuring Starbuck's We Proudly Serve coffee selections. Guests at the hotel can enjoy the hotel's Share Lounge, fitness center and indoor swimming pool. The Chrysler Museum Glass Studio is a 7,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility designed to complement the world-class glass collection in the Museum. The Studio features a furnace capable of melting 560 pounds of glass, three glory holes for reheating glass objects as they are being formed, five annealing ovens that slowly cool molten glass to room temperature and support mold-cast glasswork and fusing, and a flameworking table with space for eight artists to work on projects including beadmaking and sculpture using glass rods and tubes. Audio-visual equipment enhances guests' ability to see free glass demonstrations by our Studio Team, assistants, and artists-in-residence.
