Historic Town Center

Ponto de referência histórica
8 km de distância
The Old Town Square (Staromestske) is one of two main squares in the city centre (the other is Wenceslas Square, 5 minutes walk away). With its ancient buildings and magnificent churches, this is one of the most beautiful historical sights in Europe. Dating back to the late 12th century, the Old Town Square started life as the central marketplace for Prague. Over the next few centuries, many buildings of Romanesque, Baroque and Gothic styles were erected around the market, each bringing with them stories of wealthy merchants and intrigue. The Old Town Square's most notable sights are the Church of Our Lady before Tyn, the Old Town Hall Tower & Astronomical Clock and the stunning St. Nicholas Church. At the centre of the Old Town Square is the Jan Hus statue, erected on the 6th July 1915 to mark the 500th anniversary of the reformer’s death. The groundswell of supporters for his beliefs during the 14th and 15th centuries eventually led to the Hussite wars. Sit back and soak up the atmosphere over a coffee at one of the many pavement cafés surrounding the square.

Modern Technology and Design Meet Green Innovation: Welcome to Cubex Centre Prague Cubex Centre Prague is a multi-purpose space which has won an award for „the best new venue“ in the 9th international competition of the Global Eventex Awards. It is located in the business centre of Prague, next to the Pankrac metro station (line C). Thanks to its unique and variable interior it is an ideal venue for organizing congresses, conferences, concerts, gala dinners, training sessions, balls and another social events. It offers up to 8 sections, 4 foyers and 2 bars. One of the reasons why Cubex is absolutely unique venue is certainly its design, inspired by Czech Cubism. This rare style, crazy and impractical during its days, faded after the First World War and ended up as a dead end to the development of architecture. Nowadays, it is considered a rarity that lovers of architecture from all over the world head to see it in the Czech Republic. Not only inspiration from history is what differs Cubex from its competitors. Modern technologies represented, for example, by the 102m2 Media Wall, the Chameleon Concept, which adapts the colour of spaces to the client´s needs, or new LED Wall with dimensions of 11x4 meters in the main hall makes Cubex a place to satisfy even the most demanding clients. The Cubex Centre Prague's 360-degree projections are a truly unique experience, not only in Prague but also in Europe. The ability to project onto white walls allows for stunning visuals that fully immerse visitors in a way that cannot be replicated elsewhere. ECO FRIENDLY VENUE Cubex Centre Prague is part of the Trimaran building, which holds the prestigious LEED Platinum certificate, guaranteeing high energy efficiency and operational effectiveness. In terms of sustainability, the center can boast for example rainwater flushing, high-performance facades with external sun protection, automatically controlled LED lighting, and efficient use of temperature-controlled air supply to the halls, among other sustainable approaches.
