Coastlands 30 Degrees Umdloti is just north of Umhlanga, against a backdrop of sugar-cane covered hills and lush sub-tropical countryside, you will find the seaside village of Umdloti. Named after the Umdloti River, which in turn is named after the wild tobacco plant that grows on its banks, Umdloti is a quiet coastal hamlet that offers golden beaches, safe warm ocean waters and excellent fishing.
