Leaning majestically on the banks of the Grand Canal, between Ca’ D’Oro and the Rialto Bridge, the 15th century Ca Sagredo Hotel has been declared a National Monument and still preserves the untouched beauty of an ancient noble residence. Most of the 42 bedrooms and suites still retain many signs of a glorious past, including superb masterpieces by important 17th and 18th century Venetian artists such as Nicolò Bambini, Giambattista Tiepolo, Sebastiano Ricci and Pietro Longhi – a rare example of time having stood still.

We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
