Our trio of hot tubs will make your country escape, that little bit more ahhhh… Please note that our Hot Tubs are bookable at a price of €20.00 per tub, per hour, accommodating up to 4 guests. (T&Cs applicable). Pricing is subject to change. Our Hot Tubs are open daily from 9am – 7:00pm and bookings are limited to 1 Hour per hot tub and a max of 4 adults per hot tub. We encourage the hot tubs to be an adult-only, zen space. Hot Tubs are filled, cleaned, and emptied by our staff, Please allow our staff to assist you during your chill-out time with us. Hot Tubs are for hotel residents only, and only for people over 16. Hot Tubs are subject to availability and must be booked in advance. Click this link to book. St Ciarán founded his monastery on the banks of the River Shannon in the 6th Century. The monastery flourished and became a great seat of learning, a University of its time with students from all over Europe. The ruins include a Cathedral, two round Towers, three high crosses, nine Churches and over 700 Early Christian graveslabs. The original high crosses, including the magnificent 10th century Cross of the Scriptures area on display in a purpose built visitor centre adjacent the monastic enclosure.

The first real signs of settlement at Athlone grew up in Anglo-Norman times around the castle which was built for King John of England by his Irish justiciar Bishop John De Gray of Norwich. Though not the first castle to be built at Athlone this castle has endured like no other. Looking at it today it still incorporates elements of the castle of 1210 together with various additions and alterations which were made in response to advances in warfare. It has many of the characteristics of a Napoleonic fortification as it was remodelled during that period to defend the crossing point of the Shannon.

Política de cancelamento

Cancellations of confirmed bookings must be made in writing. If the Client cancels the event either partially or in its entirety, the Hotel/Venue shall have suffered damages equivalent to the profits that the Hotel/Venue would have earned from the sale of the catering of food and beverage, food and beverage outlets, and use of recreation facilities, commission on retail sales and ancillary payments etc. in connection with the Event. The parties acknowledge that it is difficult to quantify such damages and have agreed that the Hotel/Venue shall assess a cancellation fee, (the “Cancellation Fee”) against The Client as liquidated damages and not as a penalty. The parties agree that the Cancellation Fee will be based on the date written notice of cancellation is received by the Hotel/Venue and calculated as (i) a percentage of Estimated Room Revenue and (ii) a percentage of Estimated Food and Beverage Revenue in accordance with the following scale: Cancellation Date Amount payable by The Client More than 9 Months Out 25% of the total estimated revenue More than 6 Months but less than 3 months out 50% of the total estimated spend More than 1 Month but less than 3 months out 90% of the estimated spend Less than 1 month out 100% of the estimated spend 4.2 In the case of cancellation, the Cancellation Fee and any related taxes are payable within 30 days of the date of cancellation after which time the Cancellation Fee will bear interest at the rate of 1 1/2% per month (18% per annum) until paid, unless this rate exceeds the maximum rate permitted by applicable laws, in which event the maximum legal rate shall apply. Deposits paid by The Client will be applied against the Cancellation Fee owing.
