The Metropolitan Suite

The Metropolitan Suite's north and south exposures bookend 8,500 square feet of rich, chocolate oak flooring offset by neutral white walls. The wood floor consists of FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council) raw materials from sustainably-harvested forests and was produced without the use of insecticides or laminating adhesives. The lobby and restroom area tiles are certified zero-VOC emission (volatile organic chemicals), contain 42.5% pre-consumer recycled content. The kitchen and the hallway flooring includes BioStride, a LEED-compliant rapidly renewable US-grown plant ingredient with 0% PVC and plasticizers, thus eliminating petroleum-based content common in regular tiling. Metropolitan Pavilion is a participant of an energy curtailment program working with the NY Independent Systems Operators (NYISO), and is a Green Power Partner with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
