It serves as a major inter-connecting point to the United States Virgin Islands and also offers an alternate route to the British Virgin Islands. King Airport is located on the southwestern side of the Island of St. Thomas, part of the US Virgin Islands, and is just 4 miles east from the City of Charlotte Amalie. Charlotte Amalie is a pleasant city with a major cruise ship port offering abundant shopping opportunities. The Airport is open 24/7, but the terminal is only open 6am-11pm.

St. Thomas is mountainous and offers beautiful views. Located on the Northside, the most popular lookouts are Drake's Seat and Skyline Drive Overlook. Drake's Seat was built in 1933 by Arthur Fairchild. Back then, navigating the hills of St. Thomas involved traveling by horse or foot. Arthur thought this spot was a "nice place to rest". You too can take a break and enjoy the fabulous view from this famous seat!

A National Historical Landmark, Fort Christian is located between Veterans Dr and Emancipation Garden in the town of Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, USVI. Currently being restored, the fort is open Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 4:30PM. The museum has exhibits on the history of the Virgin Islands from the Stone Age to the present. It also has a natural history section, a furniture collection from the Danish period and an art gallery
