Local Attractions

Seattle Ballooning

25 minutes away
Seattle Ballooning is a luxury hot air ballooning experience. Other companies North of Seattle in Woodinville and Snohomish use large balloons that carry 8-12 passengers at a time. We realize that most people will only take one or two balloon flights in their lifetime, that is why we fly directly in front of Mt. Rainier and mlimit our guests to four per balloon.

Seattle Aquarium

30 minutes away
Opened in 1977, the Seattle Aquarium was owned and operated by the City of Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation until 2010, when the nonprofit Seattle Aquarium Society assumed its management—a model used by most leading zoos and aquariums across the country. In 2007, the Aquarium opened a major expansion that added 18,000 square feet of space to the facility, including an impressive 120,000-gallon exhibit, a gift shop, café, meeting/event space and more.

Kidd Valley

3 minutes away
Seattle has enjoyed Kidd Valley's made-to-order burgers, old fashioned hand-mixed shakes, fresh onion rings and signature fried mushrooms since 1975, with its first location in the University District near University Village. Today, Kidd Valley has 7 stores and 7 stadium locations throughout Western Washington. Kidd Valley serves more than 800,000 juicy burgers and sandwiches, approximately 300,000 freshly-made milkshakes and nearly a half million hand-made orders of fries, onion rings and fried mushrooms each year.

Founded in 1899, Woodland Park Zoo has sparked delight, discovery and unforgettable memories for generations of Northwest families. Ivar's Seafood Bar

3 minutes away
Ivar’s Seafood Bars is the go-to destination for award winning fish 'n chips and clam chowder, with 23 locations throughout Washington. We feature fast casual seafood dining for dine-in or take out including freshly prepared, grilled seafood entrees and salads as well as traditional favorites such as clams 'n chips and the Full Boat family feast. We use only wild Alaskan deep water halibut, salmon and Pacific True cod caught straight from local, Northwest vessels. We hand-cut and bread our fish daily and are proud to abide by the original recipes Ivar Haglund established in 1938. Serving nearly 3,000,000 customers per year, Ivar’s Seafood Bars is the crowd favorite in Seattle and throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Pike Place Market

Historical Landmark

3 minutes away
The concept for Peyrassol Café at Southport was born in the dark, rainy, wintery month of February 2010 when Scott Cory and Sachia Tinsley, then fiancés, were presented with the opportunity to turn a small sandwich shop into a cozy neighborhood restaurant. They were married in June, spent their honeymoon writing a business plan, and finally began gutting the dark café in July '10 infusing light, warmth and cheer to the space. On that October 1st they toasted the quiet, soft opening of the Renton restaurant with a bottle of their favorite rosé…Commanderie de Peyrassol.
