About us

Berties Restaurant is convenient for Southampton which is just 10 miles away and we are on the edge of the New Forest. We are just 20 minutes drive from Beaulieu which also hosts many events at the National Motor Museum. We have a small private car-park for guests and can offer a mix of rooms to include twins, doubles and family rooms. Double roomsWe have a total of 4 double bedrooms. We are able to offer private dining rooms either in the larger #78 with its original Adams fireplace or in the adjoining conservatory. These rooms will seat 40 and 35 accordingly. The rooms are often rented together enabling you to offer a light airy room for pre-dinner drinks or indeed an area for dancing. We cater for any type of private lunch or dinner from business meetings to weddings and have a variety of menus to offer. We are happy to tailor a menu to your specific needs or budget so if you do not see a menu that suits you please enquire and we will endeavour to meet your requirements.

Once upon a time in 2016, Matt Levy, founder of Covert Cocktail Club, hosted a secret speakeasy as an intimate place for strangers to gather in his home. The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.
