Has your hotel taken steps to reduce single-use plastics, such as removing plastic straws (except upon request for guests with disabilities), stirrers and cotton buds? If yes, please provide detail as to the steps you have taken to reduce single use plastics?

We use cardboard products for our to-go cups and containers. Instead of pens in our meeting spaces, we use pencils that can be sharpened and reused. At Kimpton Aertson Hotel, guess what happens to all the cardboard and oil that can be recycled or composted? They get recycled or composted. Not sent to the landfill.

Does your hotel generate (onsite) or purchase (offsite) renewable energy (beyond your utility's standard offerings)? If yes, please describe your practices for generating or purchasing renewable energy.

At Kimpton Aertson Hotel, we have the environment in mind. We are proud to do our part to care for our environment and reduce our carbon footprint, and yours, as a green hotel in Nashville. We even officially earned our LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Yes, We have removed certain guest room items (think throw pillows, books and robes) or in some cases made changes to other in room amenities.
