The Hotel Hecht is centrally located in the historic and charming village of Appenzell, beside the famous pedestrian zone with its unique boutiques. The interesting region of Appenzellerland attracts all ages with its history and traditions. A visit is an absolute must while in Switzerland. The Hotel Hecht Appenzell offers a total of 38 hotel rooms consisting of single rooms, junior suites, mini suites and double rooms. Our function rooms are decorated in tasteful Appenzell style and offer the right ambience for every occasion. Seminar Rooms, Fähnern & Kamor« combine to provide space for large workshops or conferences for around 70 persons or for lectures (chairs only) for up to 250 persons. For smaller groups we also have the rooms «Schwende» and «Sitter» available. They are about 20 - 25 square meters and can accommodate 10 - 15 people with block seating space.

The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.
