Also known as Panathenaic Stadium, is situated right opposite the National Gardens’ entrance on Vasileos Konstantinou Avenue. It was built in 330BC and it was the venue to host the Zappas Olympics in 1870 and 1875 as well as the first Modern Olympic Games of 1896. The sparkling marble can still convey the feeling of greatness of the 80.000 Athenians that were and still are able to watch some of the greatest events to be hold during the years.
