О нас

Shelmalier House is a family run bed and breakfast situated in a quiet location approx. 2km from Athlone town centre. It is a modern home surrounded by beautiful gardens and a barbeque area. Its facilities include seven tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms. The gardens are large and our guests may sit, relax and enjoy the wide variety of shrubs and flowers planted in both gardens. Shelmalier is an ideally located superior bed and breakfast for visitors who wish to experience the many excellent attractions and leisure facilities available in the Athlone area such as Athlone Castle, Clonmacnoise, the River Shannon and water activities. There is a choice of four excellent golf courses within 15 minutes drive.

The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era. Liberated from the confines of a single location, Covert Cocktail Club now brings the speakeasy right to your door—be it at your home, office, bar mitzvah, dinner party, bachelor/ette party or anywhere you choose!
