For anglers, the options are as delightful as a Friday night fish fry – casting for largemouth bass in the freshwater ponds, fly-fishing for redfish in the salt marsh flats, trolling for trophies in the depths of the Atlantic. Whether you catch and release or cook up a perfect shore lunch, you’ll be thrilled to experience an array of fishing at its finest. Of course, the smooth and scenic waterways provide plenty of entertainment for those who aren’t inclined to bait the hook. You’ve never truly experienced a Lowcountry sunrise or sunset until you’ve seen one from a kayak or canoe, and the miles of water trails make for a paddler’s paradise. Power boaters can explore the May River and head out via the Intracoastal Waterway. Palmetto Bluff offers plenty of watercrafts for rental and private charters, including the meticulously restored 1913 yacht Grace – a truly amazing way to experience the Carolina waters.

Our 2 hour canopy tour eco-adventure thru the majestic live oaks and pines looks out on the water, boats and marshes of beautiful Hilton Head. You'll soar on 8 ziplines to height of 75 feet and swing on swaying bridges and an aerial staircase, all interconnected by platforms and trees, and all leading to your dual cable zipline finale where 2 people race side-by-side for 900 feet to the finish line. After a quick ground school, you start lower and slower but keep going higher and longer until you're whizzing off towers from 75 feet. On the Aerial Adventure, enjoy 50 in-the-tree challenge activities on 6 courses ranging from easy to hard as you cross swinging bridges, zip on a skateboard zipline, jump thru hoops, climb many invigorating obstacles, some with fun Hilton Head themes of beach, boats, gators, water and more. It's self-guided, and you're harnessed and helmeted.

Inn and Guest House Rooms, Cottages, and Suites: Cancellation Policy: A 1 night deposit plus tax is due at booking. Cancel by 15:00 local time 7 days prior to arrival or forfeit deposit. Village Homes and Montage Signature Residences: Cancellation Policy: Cancel by 15:00 local time 30 days prior to scheduled arrival or forfeit 100% of the stay total plus tax. Guarantee Policy: A deposit equal to 1 night's estimated room and tax is required at time of booking. An additional deposit of the remaining room and tax will be taken 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations must be cancelled by noon local property time 30 days before arrival to avoid a penalty equal to the total of all night's estimated room and tax.

TRANSPORTATION: Savannah International Airport is located just 35 minutes from Montage Palmetto Bluff and offers 45 non-stop daily departures from American, Delta, JetBlue, United and US Airways AIRPORT TRANSFER TIMES - Savannah/Hilton Head Airport (SAV): 25 miles / 35 minutes - Charleston International Airport (CHS): 97 miles / 1 hour 50 minutes - Jacksonville International Airport (JAX): 154 miles / 2 hours 15 minutes ACCOMMODATIONS Designed in classic Colonial style, accommodations for Montage Palmetto Bluff will include 230 guest rooms, suites, cottages and village homes. All accommodations are outfitted with luxurious amenities, spacious bathrooms including separate shower and soaking tub and up-to-date technology. RECREATION Montage Palmetto Bluff is deeply integrated with its surroundings, offering guests authentic, unforgettable encounters with the natural world. Lazy mornings of beachcombing and kayaking. Crabbing, shrimping and fishing expeditions led by savvy local guides. Away from the waterfront, guests can explore 15 miles of trails on a cruiser bike. Other fresh-air pastimes include tennis, croquet, bocce and more. MAY RIVER GOLF CLUB The private May River Golf Club extends memberships only to residents of Palmetto Bluff and offers guest privileges to guests of Montage Palmetto Bluff. Located on property, Jack Nicklaus has carefully woven a Signature golf course into the fabric of Palmetto Bluff. The Club features a practice facility, 6-acres short game area, pro shop and grill. Your guests will have the option of a cart with a forecaddie or walking with a caddie. PALMETTO BLUFF SHOOTING CLUB The Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club features 13 sporting clays stations winding through an expansive 40-acre forest. An elevated and covered 5-stand station, plus a wobble deck field make for a total of 15 shooting sites. The course is designed to be subordinate to the landscape while providing a fun and challenging recreational shooting environment for the novice through advanced shooter, regardless of age, ability, or experience.
