О нас
With 91.8 thousand square meters, the Centro Cultural da República, located on Esplanada dos Ministérios, is composed by Museu Nacional Honestino Guimarães and Biblioteca Nacional Leonel de Moura Brizola. The inauguration happened on December 15th of 2006, birthday of architect Oscar Niemeyer, author of the project. The National Library has five floors with rooms for studying, reading and writing, an auditorium for teleconferences and lectures. The museum hosts shows and exhibitions, workshops for restoring artworks, two auditoriums, external walkways and three reflecting pools.
