Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden is ideally located in Caniço, a charming village on the south-west part of Madeira Island and is 8 km from the airport and 7 km from Funchal. The estate is set in 30.000 square meters of landscaped botanical gardens with over 1.000 species of different plants, tempting the guests to take a walk and relax. The main building is a restored 19th century Manor House, rich in History and antiquities. From the outdoor pool, you can enjoy fantastic views across the Atlantic Ocean and nearby nature reserve Ilhas "Desertas". Composed by low rise anexes and with high standard serviceon an exclusive and private atmosphere, Quinta Splendida offers a choice of restaurants and distinctive gastronomy, an original cellar offering weekly wine tasting, and guided Tours through the extensive botanical garden with more than 1000 plant species duly identified. The harmony between nature and wellbeing makes this an exotic resort and the perfect place to breath, relax and unwind.

The Garajau Partial Nature Reserve is a marine reserve, located on the southern slope of Madeira Island which is managed by the Madeira Nature Park. In the whole area of the reserve, fishing activity is totally forbidden and the circulation of vessels is conditioned.
