the Georgian House Hotel located within 10 minutes walk of the city center, the Georgian House hotel offers you the atmosphere of a country style hotel. The Grade II listed building retains it's old world charm whilst providing the facilities and services for an enjoyable and relaxing visit. The hotel is within close proximity to many of the area's businesses, the University of Derby, the main shopping area within the city, as well as the increasing choice of recreational activities on offer, making the hotel ideal for either a business trip or leisure visit to Derby. Before your meal you can enjoy a drink in the cosy bar with its old world charm or wander through our French windows and take your drink in the garden. Alternatively relax with your menu in front of the roaring log fires.

But perhaps what I most like is taking people on walks across some of the great bridges around our city: the Brooklyn Bridge, and especially the Williamsburg Bridge - and don't forget the great George Washington Bridge - for walks along the Palisades!

Once upon a time in 2016, Matt Levy, founder of Covert Cocktail Club, hosted a secret speakeasy as an intimate place for strangers to gather in his home. The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”.
A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.

You’ll have the best seat in the house while cruising aboard the classic 42′ Grand Banks yacht, the Rainbird. The Rainbird is meticulously maintained and cared for, and shows it throughout.
The vessel offers comfort throughout with comfortable seating in the deck area, a fly bridge deck gives you a second floor viewing area for entertaining and taking in the incredible views of Seattle’s awesome sunsets, and a lounge below-deck to get out of the wind, if desired, with refrigerator, stove, oven and microwave. There are also two staterooms, each with its own ‘head’ and shower. The master stateroom has a center island queen bed with an office desk. The forward stateroom offers double twin-size beds in a v-berth layout. The Rainbird is centrally located, close to downtown Seattle, Lake Union, U of W, and Lake Washington.
