Present Bangladesh National Museum (1983) is the successor to the Dhaka Museum. A four-storied building with a total exhibition area of more than 20,000 sqm. and 44 galleries. The Bangladesh National Museum is one of the largest museum in South Asia. The Museum building comprises three auditoriums for holding seminars and cultural functions and a temporary exhibition hall for arranging special exhibitions.
