The Portofino Hotel and Marina is a beautiful oceanfront property located in Redondo Beach, just 7 miles south of Los Angeles International Airport. With the Marina on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other, the hotel is virtually surrounded by water. The oceanfront location, walking distance to a variety of water activities, restaurants, shopping and nightlife, makes the hotel the ideal venue for groups, meetings, and events looking for a quintessential Southern California coastal experience. With over 11,000 sq. ft. of dedicated function space, including 4 rooms with stunning ocean views, there is no better location to hold a meeting or event. The Portofino Hotel also offers unique outdoor spaces for meals, cocktail receptions, and team building activities. These include our Seaside Lawn, Pacific Terrace, Baleen Cafe & Firepits, ocean view pool deck, and marina view patio. With 161 beautifully appointed sleeping rooms with either an oceanfront or a marina view, that feature 1 king or 2 double beds, guests are accommodated in style and comfort. 5 ocean view suites are ideal for VIPs. BALEENkitchen, the Portofino's fine dining restaurant, offers an eclectic dining experience for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. BALEENlounge serves cocktails and light fare nightly. Both provide beautiful and relaxing views of the marina.

The Formosa first opened its doors IN LOS ANGELES in 1939: making its new debut in its 80th year. Located across from the then-Samuel Goldwyn studio, stars like Frank Sinatra, Humphrey Bogart, James Dean, and Elvis Presley would pop into the legendary Formosa Cafe regularly for dining and drinks. On any given day, patrons might have seen Ava Gardner dancing past the old, red leather booths, or John Wayne nursing a late-night scotch (he was caught making scrambled eggs in our kitchen one morning, after reportedly passing out in a booth the night before). Among the interior design restorations is the full reveal of the iconic and original red trolley car, dating back to 1904 and is confirmed to be the oldest surviving red train car in existence. Boxes of autographed celebrity photos and storage units of original memorabilia have made their way back into the Cafe.
