Founded in 1731, the RDS is proud to be Ireland’s oldest philanthropic institution. The RDS Foundation is dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts, enterprise, agriculture, science, and technology for generations to come. All the revenue brought in by the RDS venue is put directly into the Foundation, which invests €7 million per year in the future of Ireland. Each year, more than 80 different projects are undertaken and funded by the Society itself, covering the Society’s Foundation activities of Agriculture, Arts, Industry and Science in Ireland. One of the biggest means of supporting our foundation is opening our doors to the wide variety of multi-purpose events we host. We are known as one of Ireland’s largest and most iconic event spaces. With 43 acres of land, over 22,000 sqm of floor space and 25 spaces for events of all shapes & sizes, the possibilities with the RDS are endless. Not only are we situated not five minutes from the bustling Dublin City Centre, but we are also partnered with nine different hotels, combining 1500 hotel rooms and ranging from 3, 4 & 5 star within walking distance.

The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.
