The expanded GSD doubled the size of the Exhibit Hall (now 100,000 sf); added a junior ballroom, multiple meeting rooms, two outdoor green spaces and Food Hall. Additional improvements include renovations to the 702-seat Gas South Theatre, a selection of regional and local art, technology and accessibility improvements, and easy campus accessibility. The 13,200 seat Gas South Arena has hosted multiple major faith-based and sporting events, including the Orange Conference, SEC Gymnastics, NCAA Basketball Championship Round One and concerts from Beyonce to the Foo Fighters. Adjacent to the Gas South Convention Center, a stunning, $120 million dollar, four star headquarters hotel - The Westin Atlanta Gwinnett - is under construction, with a firm opening by March 2024. The hotel will feature 348 stunning guest rooms, over 17,000 meeting of high-end meeting space, as well as a rooftop bar that will be the perfect nightcap to any conference or meeting.
