It is a charming 3 star family run hotel in a quiet residential area, only minutes away from all of Florence’s top attractions. Housed in a restored 18th century palace and the former home to many embassies and noble Florentine families, guests are able to experience all the magic of Renaissance Firenze from a secluded and comfortable environment that still retains the style and atmosphere of an old Florentine home. The hotel has 39 well furnished guestrooms. Each room offers elegance and comfort. It also offers a range of services and amenities making it one of the most economical 3 stars options in Florence. Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
